Cookie Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
This page explains what cookies and similar technologies SASA Digital uses on this Portal, why we use them, and how you can control them. This complements our Privacy Notice.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. We treat all of these the same way for the purposes of this policy.
Categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for sign-in, session security, and form submissions on the Portal. These cannot be disabled and no consent is required under POPIA because the Portal cannot function without them.
- Preferences. Remember choices such as your last-selected province, school, or wizard step so you do not have to re-enter them. Optional; off by default.
- Analytics. Privacy-respecting, first-party usage measurements (page views, referrers, device class) that help us improve the Portal. IP addresses are truncated. We do not build advertising profiles. Optional; off by default.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell any information collected via cookies.
Your consent
When you first visit the Portal, a banner asks you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences by category. Your choice is stored locally on your device and can be changed at any time.
Browser controls
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and registration.
