About SASA Digital
SASA Digital is the official digital platform of South African Schools Athletics (SASA). We bring school registrations, athlete management, competitions, rankings and results into one modern, secure system built for schools, coaches, administrators and federations.
Our mission
To strengthen school athletics in South Africa by giving every school, regardless of size, quintile or province, the tools to register, compete, track performance and access opportunity. We exist to reduce paperwork, improve data quality and put athletes at the centre of the season.
What we do
- School registration: a guided wizard for headmasters, coaches and heads of sport to load schools, EMIS, quintile and contact details.
- Athlete management: capture each athlete individually once, then reuse them across the season, with supporting documents stored securely.
- Competitions & entries: manage entries to district, provincial and national meets directly from your school profile.
- Rankings & results: consolidated South African schools rankings, kept up to date as results come in.
- Statutory reporting: generate the transformation and participation reports schools and federations are required to submit.
Who it's for
Primary and high schools across all nine provinces, district and provincial school sport structures, coaches, parents managing entries, and SASA administrators responsible for the national programme.
How we work
The platform is built in line with the South African Schools Act and POPIA. Personal information is stored in our secure cloud database, sensitive fields (ID numbers, race) are masked in admin views, and supporting documents are served via short-lived signed links. We collect only what is required to run the season and to meet statutory reporting obligations.
